After all that, I discovered there are really only 3 things you need to actually learn a language:

- Repetition — You need spaced repetition so you don't forget what you've learned
- Speaking — You need to actually use it in real conversations
Then I found the Language Transfer app. It's a free audio course that taught me more Spanish in one month than I'd learned in four years. The teacher explains why Spanish works the way it does, and suddenly everything clicked.
But the app frustrated me. No lesson titles. No way to track progress. No way to review vocabulary. So I decided to build something better.
